Main goals:

CITET was established to strengthen capacities in environmental protection and the sustainable management of natural resources in Tunisia, Africa, and the Arab and Mediterranean countries.

Main activities:

CITET is coaching a significant number of companies towards ISO 14001 and good practise and has significant outreach to industry. The Center does this by

• Developing skills and capacity building in Tunisia and the countries of the region in the field of environmental management and environmental technologies 
• Providing technical assistance to industry and promoting cleaner and more environmentally friendly technologies.
• Facilitating the adaptation, transfer and promotion of technologies which are economically more efficient and environmentally more rational.
• Promoting knowledge and making information available on environmental protection, sustainable management, and environmental technologies.

CITET participates in a number of international cooperation programmes, and seeks to develop new international cooperation projects.
